About Morgan Morris
Morgan Morris is a Ph.D. student and Research Assistant at SLIET (Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology). He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. His research interests include Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Artificial Intelligence.
He started his career as a systems engineer at HCL Technologies Ltd., where he worked for three years before joining SLIET. At HCL, he worked on server-side software development and optimization projects for clients like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, etc. During this time, he developed expertise in distributed systems architecture & design and also improved his knowledge of programming languages like C/C++/Java.
At SLIET, Morgan has been involved in various research projects related to Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence. He has been working on developing algorithms that can help in medical diagnosis using Machine Learning techniques as well as predicting crime rates using AI-based models. In addition to this work, Morgan also mentors undergraduate students who are studying at SLIET by providing guidance on technical topics such as Data Structures & Algorithms.
Apart from his research work and teaching activities at SLIET, Morgan is an active member of the local tech community. He regularly attends tech conferences and hackathons to stay up to date with the latest developments in technology. He also writes tutorials related to programming & web development which are published on popular websites such as Medium & Stack Overflow.
Outside of his professional life, Morgan loves playing the piano and spending time with friends discussing philosophy or watching movies together. He is currently planning a trip around India this summer with his friends so that they can explore all the different cultures that this country has to offer!
